Some say cats understand silence better than we do

— The temple’s unofficial guardian, as told by her humans
No one’s quite sure when she started sitting there. One day she just appeared — curled up between the Buddha statues, completely at ease, like she belonged.
She never knocks them over. Never gets bored. Just sits among them quietly, eyes half-closed, as if in meditation. The team started calling her “Master Miao.”
We always joke that cats are born knowing something we don’t. Looking at her, I’m starting to believe it.
So we made a sculpture of her — to capture that exact moment: peaceful, grounded, and just a little mysterious. Now her little statue sits beside the Buddhas, where she used to nap. Still watching. Still silent. Still perfectly at home.
